What shall I do with that used juice box? Toss it in the bin? NO! Recycle it! The founder of UrthBags (www.urthbags.com) has gone one step further. She has created a range of bags from them. And she hasn’t stopped there! She has created stylish bags from magazines, sea shells, newspapers, and telephone books.

UrthBags look fantastically hip, cool, and trendy. These bags make a real fashion statement for any girl from 10 years and up.  With styles for the day in town, for the workplace, for grand evenings out, and even for the beach you will look great making a declaration for a greener lifestyle with the UrthBags. Focus Magazine have just written a feature on UrthBags where the founder Monica Ralli says “I feel that imagination is the most powerful tool to help generate more ideas. The more consumers purchase eco-friendly and recycled products, the greater the demand will be for them.”

The Elle bag has been made from the lining of juice boxes to create this fantastic evening bag with magnetic fastening. Silver is really in this season and would look great with that killer black outfit and heels!

Prints have been the thing this season so you will definitely be the trend leader with the Porsha bag made from recycled magazines. With a zipper closure and rope handle, every bag is made from different magazines so your bag will be unique! This is a great hand bag for the office.

The shell recycled bags are reminiscent of the 50’s style, very retro! Ideal for evening or smart day use. I love the Cindy bag. It would look great at a summer luncheon; I can smell the grass and Pimms! This bag has a buffalo horn handle and pearl shoulder strap with a magnetic clasp closure and satin fabric lining.

The Charlotte bag is great for a casual day around town. It is made from recycled telephone directories and it looks great! It has a braided handle and a magnetic clasp and woven detailing.

UrthBags are an American company but they ship globally. They also sell gift vouchers if you wish to send a bag as a gift but are not sure which one to choose!

Just About The Coolest Eco Chic Store I’ve Come Across…Talk About Recycling!

Do you think it’s possible to make a purse out of sea shells? What about magazines, newspapers or telephone books? Even more dramatic, a purse or bag made out of the lining of juice boxes? This is a store that really keeps the environment in mind when they created their product line!

UrthBags are just about the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. You would truly be amazed with the fabulous purses and bags they offer in their online store…all made out of recycled products. Products that I wouldn’t imagine purses & bags being made out of, but I want one of each because they are so fabulous!

When my URTH Bag arrived today (sent free of charge), I couldn’t wait to open it up and see if it was as neat in real life as it was in the pictures on their site. I was blown away by the purse inside the recycled shipping box (which was packed with recycled newspaper)! This amazing SILVER Ashley Bag (made out of the lining of recycled juice boxes) emerged and BLEW ME AWAY! I would never, in a million years, guess that it was made out of such. SERIOUSLY…look at the pictures, wouldn’t you be fascinated too?

This bag is very sturdy and made to last. One of the features I like is the way it shuts…keeping my personal items inside the bag and hopefully not out.

It does not seal all the way shut, but it seals enough to make me feel comfortable that my things are secure. This would not only make a great purse, but a fantastic beach bag, bag for traveling (in the airport), etc. I can see a plethora of uses for this bag! Trust me…it will be used as such!

UrthBags has my attention this week! The company proves that eco-friendly fashion does not have to be bland! The totally eco-chic handbag company creates recycled material handbags and totes that are stylish, fashionable, eco-friendly and a must have for the fashion conscious!  UrthBags not only creates their trendy handbags from recycled materials but also utilizes fair trade conditions for the artisans. Recycled juice box bags, sea shell bags, recycled magazine bags and recycled newspaper bags are all among the stunning bags offered by UrthBags! After seeing these adorable bags I will never look at juice boxes, sea shells, magazines or newspapers the same!

Monica Ralli, UrthBag owner, was nice enough to send me my very own “Nancy” bag for review! (Thank you Monica!) I waited for the shipment of my new bag to arrive with great expectations! When the delivery guy rang my door bell I ran to the door, grabbed my package and skipped into the kitchen to rip into the box. By seeing the pictures online of the bags, I knew my bag would be beautiful, but had no clue just how much prettier it would be in person, until I opened the box and was able to feast my eyes upon the shinny natural sea shells surrounding the “Nancy” Bag!

WOW, the Nancy bag is beautiful! The light colored sea shells are attached in rows across the entire bag and the inside is a bright white satin fabric lining. The dark handle makes the entire bag really “pop”! The Nancy bag is definitely a beautiful fashion accessory for the evening or any dressy event! The bag measures 10″L x 2.5″W x 5″H, so it is not to big and not to small. Just perfect for a wallet, lipstick, car keys and cell phone to all fit comfortably.

What I Loved About The “Nancy” Bag

• The sea shells are a stunning accent for a “dress” event.
• Due to the natural color, the bag will accent any attire!
• The handbag is well crafted, making it worth every penny it cost!
• The Nancy bag is perfectly sized for a woman who wants a compact bag.
